JongHae Keum is a distinguished professor at the Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS). His major is algebraic geometry, with a focus on algebraic surfaces, K3 surfaces, and surfaces of general type. He was an invited speaker of ICM 2018 and he is also a former President of KIAS and the Korean Mathematical Society.
