  From July 15 to July 16, 2026, Ruimeng Hu, an Associate Professor from the University of California, Santa Barbara, was invited to give an in-person short course. The title is "Stochastic Control, Stochastic Games, and Machine Learning". For more information, see the poster.
  Ruimeng Hu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Statistics and Applied Probability at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her research interests include theoretical foundations and algorithms of machine learning, mean field dynamics and games, stochastic partial differential equations, multiscale financial modeling, systemic risk, stochastic models for epidemic control, and the applications of sequential algorithm design to stochastic control problems. She previously held a faculty position at Columbia University, has served as the principal investigator of multiple research projects funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Office of Naval Research (ONR), and currently serves as an Associate Editor for the journal Digital Finance.
