In July 2026, Dr. Jie Cao joined the Center for Applied Mathematics.

Dr. Jie Cao earned his Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University in June 2024 and later served as a postdoc at the Chern Institute of Mathematics (Nankai University). Dr. Jie Cao mainly engages in research on discrete Schrödinger operators, thermodynamic formalism, fractal geometry and related fields, and has published a paper in the journal Adv. in Math.
