From June 30 to July 3, 2026, Zhenning Cai, an Associate Professor from the National University of Singapore, was invited to give an in-person short course. The title is "Modeling and Computational Methods for Rarefied Gas Dynamics". For more information, see the poster.
Zhenning Cai is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the National University of Singapore. He received his Ph.D. in Computational Mathematics from Peking University in 2013. He subsequently spent three years as a postdoctoral researcher at RWTH Aachen University, Germany, and Duke University, USA. He joined the Department of Mathematics at the National University of Singapore as an Assistant Professor in 2017, and was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 2023. His research focuses on the modeling of rarefied gas dynamics and the numerical simulation of open quantum systems.
