  June 10, 2026, Zhaohu Nie, an Associate Professor from Utah State University, was invited to give a talk. The title is "Toda systems on Riemann surfaces". For more information, see the poster.
  Dr. Zhaohu Nie is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Utah State University. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Stony Brook University in 2005. Prior to joining Utah State University in 2011, he held academic positions at Texas A&M University and The Pennsylvania State University. His research interests include differential geometry, integrable systems, partial differential equations, Lie groups, and Toda systems. He has made significant contributions at the intersection of geometric analysis and mathematical physics. In recent years, he has published numerous research articles in leading international journals, including Adv. in Math., Comm. Math. Phys., Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. He has also supervised and mentored graduate students in a variety of research projects. In recognition of his outstanding scholarly achievements, Dr. Nie was named Department Researcher of the Year by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Utah State University in both 2017 and 2018. He is widely respected for his contributions to the fields of geometric analysis and integrable systems.
