Alan Sokal is a Professor of Mathematics at University College London (UCL) and Professor of Physics at New York University. His research interests include combinatorics and analysis, statistical physics, quantum theory, and computational physics. He has published over a hundred papers in journals such as Acta Mathematica, Advances in Mathematics, and Memoirs of the American Mathematical Society. He currently serves on the editorial board of journals including Advances in Applied Mathematics.
